Week 27: the holy ghost

San Rafael

This has been a long week! but we ended with 3 investigators with baptismal dates. Made everything worth it. It rained like crazy this week! We got soaked. We were not used to the cold at all

On Monday we went and got ice cream with the hermanas in our district. I got Banana con dulce de leche my new favorite. Jeez it was so good. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Anyway that evening we contacted a lot of people. We’re destined to find the ´´Golden´´ family.

Tuesday was awesome. In the morning we went house to house again looking for people to teach. Finally, a lady came out and let us teach her. She was super interested it caught us off guard a little bit…! She asked for the directions of the church and said it has always ´´stood out´´ to her. THE HOLY GHOST. We were so excited after that lesson because we hadnt found anyone for a while.

Wednesday we had our zone conference. We talked about all of the changes the missionaries have with the schedule! Things are so much more flexible! I love it. I learned we can have more valentia in the missionary work. Later Elder Sharp and I went on intercambios with our zone leaders. I went with Elder Anderson. We did a lot of walking which I am not used to. (we have bikes) good thing

Thursday we ate lunch with our zone leaders at one of the members in their area. He told us some crazy stories about his mission in colombia. Apparantly it was super dangerous back then. empanadas galore. Elder Anderson and I found a dude who showed us his life photo album and then told us to get our bishop to pay him money. That was weird. Whenever we would shake hands he wouldnt let go.

Friday we found a new investigator! He has a farm of every animal you could imagine. he accepted a baptismal date! It was a good lesson, I could feel the spirit guiding us throughout it. That evening was hard because all of our plans fell through and we didnt get into a house.

Saturday we didnt get into a house again…. at one point we had no idea what to do, but we decided to say a prayer and the lord guided us to an area to contact. It was incredible. Right after the prayer we both were clear with the same decision. We didnt teach anyone there, but I know someone over there needed to hear what we had to say-

Sunday was good! None of our investigators came to church but we had a few lessons. One with Brenda, who is 100 percent commited this time to go to church next week. Well see! Then we visited Pedro, the dude with the farm and his wife. His wife had a ton of questions! She had already read a ton of the book of mormon and we hadnt even taught her! She asked us what she could do to receive help with her animals because ´´its the only trial she seems to have in her life.´´ the spirit guided us to some scriptures to share and we left both of them with a baptimal date! They are dedicated to the lord. Were going back during the week to help them with their farm.

Hard, long week, but with many miracles. I stand here amazed at the grace the lord has for us. How he has lead us to these people to teach. Its crazy
